Top Ten Tuesday: Book Covers with Flowers & Foliage

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is a freebie. I’ve always been drawn to covers with bursts of flowers on the cover. I think they’re so pretty. For today’s post, I decided to round up some of my favorite covers with flowers and foliage!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books with Numbers in the Title

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is books with numbers in the title. As I was putting together this list, I decided to have a bit of fun and see if I could count to ten with book titles, which I was able to!

2021 Mid-Year Book Freakout

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another Mid-Year Book Freakout! These are always one of my favorite posts to write! I’ve only read about half of what I normally do in a year so I’m hoping it’s not too difficult to fill this out.

BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2019

People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry. Friends-to-lovers trope for the win!

BEST SEQUEL YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2019

Chain of Iron (The Last Hours #2) by Cassandra Clare. Cassie heard me say I love angsty romance and decided to turn it up a notch (or ten).

NEW RELEASE YOU HAVEN’T READ YET BUT WANT TO

The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren.

MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASES FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR

She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan and Little Thieves by Margaret Owen.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT

Down Comes the Night by Allison Saft was one of my most anticipated releases for the year. The book promised a dark, gothic fantasy story and failed to deliver on those promises unfortunately.

BIGGEST SURPRISE

Dustborn by Erin Bowman. This was on my radar and I was lucky enough to be approved for an ARC, but I honestly was not expecting to love it as much as I did!

FAVORITE NEW AUTHOR

After reading Life’s Too Short (and The Happy Ever After Playlist last year) Abby Jimenez has definitely solidified herself as a new auto-buy author!

FAVORITE NEW CRUSH

I haven’t read any books that have given me a new fictional crush*!

*yet

FAVORITE NEW CHARACTERS

Again, I don’t think I’ve read any books with characters that I would consider my new favorite.

BOOKS THAT MADE YOU CRY

Life’s Too Short by Abby Jimenez. Such a good, heartwarming story.

A BOOK THAT MADE YOU HAPPY

To Sir, with Love by Lauren Layne. Such a heartwarming, romantic story about finding love 💕

MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOKS YOU’VE BOUGHT SO FAR THIS YEAR

I bought the Strange the Dreamer set from LitJoy and I am so stoked for them to arrive!

WHAT BOOKS DO YOU NEED TO READ BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR?

Other my most anticipated releases above, the five books I need to read the most before the end of the year are:

Top Ten Tuesday: Tropical Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is a freebie. I’ve had the idea for this post since last year so I’m really excited to have an excuse to finally post it. I seriously love the tropical theme covers for contemporary romances that have become popular recently and I can’t wait to see more of them in the future!

Top Ten Tuesday: Titles Featuring My Favorite Animal 🐺

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is animals from books. I did a freebie post last year featuring book covers with my favorite animal–the wolf–and have been wanting to do another wolf post but with book titles instead and this week is the perfect opportunity for that! There are a few upcoming releases with the word wolf/wolves that I cannot wait to get my hands on!
